Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance/Accounting Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience across core finance and accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and general ledger management. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, analytically minded, and ready to contribute to meaningful projects that support business decision-making. Interns will work closely with experienced professionals and gain exposure to enterprise financial systems and processes. This role is based in our Northbrook office and requires in-person attendance 3 days per week to foster collaboration and learning.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
•    Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and variance analyses
•    Support budgeting and forecasting activities
•    Help reconcile accounts and maintain general ledger accuracy
•    Participate in internal financial audits and compliance reviews
•    Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements
•    Work with financial systems and tools to extract and analyze data

Preferred Qualifications
•    Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus
•    Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
•    Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership
